Our Story
In 2020, our founder’s passion for racing led him to join Momo’s Racing Engines, initially to run the dyno. That role quickly evolved; under Momo’s mentorship, he honed his craft as an engine builder and developed a deep appreciation for precision and performance. Two years later, confident in his skills and eager to make high‑quality powerplants accessible, he ventured out independently under the banner of Crawford Racing Engines (CRE). The aim was straightforward: deliver affordable, reliable engines to racers who needed them.
Yet within a year it became clear that something was missing. Simply producing engines at a lower cost didn’t align with his vision for excellence or with the high standards he had set for himself. Recognizing that CRE wasn’t heading where he wanted, he made the difficult decision to dissolve the brand in 2023 and took a hiatus. During that time he didn’t step away from the industry; he immersed himself in advanced performance‑engineering study, refined his mechanical skills, and even enrolled in business courses to ensure the next venture would be strategically sound as well as technically exceptional.
Late in 2024, the culmination of that experience and introspection took form as Elite Engine Development. This new chapter retains the commitment to affordability and reliability that inspired the original venture but pairs it with a more ambitious scope. Elite Engine Development builds engines across a performance spectrum, from dependable entry‑level units to bespoke high‑performance builds, all sharing a common DNA of meticulous craftsmanship and unwavering reliability. By balancing cost‑effectiveness with cutting‑edge engineering, Elite Engine Development delivers powerplants that empower racers to achieve their potential while upholding the principle that tired engines don’t win races.
At the heart of Elite Engine Development is a desire to help racers thrive and to give back to the community that shaped us. Beyond building engines, we mentor up‑and‑coming drivers, share technical knowledge, and are developing a driver support program to provide discounts, resources, and promotional opportunities to those who carry our engines onto the track. Our goal is not just to supply power but to build partnerships, strengthening grassroots racing while showcasing what’s possible when passion meets precision.

Maxima is a race‑inspired, product‑driven company that formulates and distributes high‑performance lubricants. Their oils are trusted by world‑class racers and have powered hundreds of championship teams. By aligning our precision‑built engines with Maxima’s championship‑winning lubricants, we deliver a unified, race‑proven performance package engineered for reliability, power and success.
